Feed 10 - Day 4

This morning the last vestiges of supermarket cereal have been finished :)

One of my pet hates is cereal as in the high in sugar, fat and salt and low in goodness varieties.

I often tried to encourage better breakfasts but I admit for ease and convenience we kept falling back into the trap.

Not anymore, no !

From tomorrow we are going to be doing better,

Lunch was humble beans on toast, and since I needed to go shopping, and it was time to take Adam to his optician appointment, we went into Heanor, where we picked up some real bargains for dinner and more.

Beans On Toast


Ingredients

2 loaves Bread (white/brown sliced)
3 Tins (400g Baked Beans

Method


Heat beans in a saucepan
Make Toast
Pour beans over toast and serve hot


Dinner, was lovely and simple and a bargain as everything was half price :)


Sausage Salad


Ingredients


48 Oven cooked sausages
5 kg Baby Salad Potatoes
1 Large Iceburg Lettuce
1 Large Cucumber
1kg Cherry Tomatoes
Parsley, Salt & Pepper

Method


Place sausages into a oven dish side by side and put on Gas 5/180*C for 30 mins turning often


Cut up the salad vegetables and rip up the lettuce into small rough chunks, place in the fridge



Wash and scrub the potatoes lightly I dont peel any potatoes except really old knotty ones).



Bring to the boil in a large pan of water, simmer/steam for 20 mins until soft.




Drain the potatoes well and add the butter, melt in the hot potatoes

Add the parsley,
