Daily I feed 10 people, I have 7 children aged 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 & 16 years, we also at present have my 17 year old Goddaughter as well as another teenage lad aged 16 years and then myself.
At present, and for the next 5 weeks, I have £88 a week to live on to cover gas/electric and food.
Never one to roll over and admit defeat, I decided to take up the challenge !
So here is my meal plan. Its bland but as healthy as possible, home cooked and frugal, and will have to continue for the next 5 weeks
Monday's Meal Plan = £ 7.67
Breakfast - Creamy Porridge - £ 1.44
500g Porridge Oats
2ltrs Milk
1ltr Water
pinch of salt
1 tsp Sugar
Lunch - Eggy Bread - £ 2.65
18 eggs
1 & 1/2 loaves Bread (sliced medium white)
Beat eggs, dip bread into eggs and cook in a greased frying pan
Dinner - Sausage & Bean Casserole with Potatoes - £ 3.58
20 Value Sausages, cut into large slices

1 Red Onion, sliced thinly

1 tbsp Mixed Herbs

Breakfast - Popcorn & Milk - £ .77p
9 tbsp oil
9 tbsp popcorn
1ltr Milk
cook popcorn (do the night before for best results)
pour over milk and drizzle a little honey on the top if required
Lunch - Bean Toasties - £ 1.65
2 tins of Baked Beans
1 & 1/2 loaves Bread (wholemeal)
1 handful of grated cheese
Dinner - Mozzerella Pasta Bake - £ 4.43
2 balls of Mozzerella
2 Onions (diced)
